And nowadays, I see content creators hyping every game from their favorite anime, sometimes genuinely, because they can't stay unbiased when their favorite characters are on screen.

Licensed anime games are so unique. They run into challenges no other games do, but also have the unfair advantage of tapping into our love for their IP. And this is why I think it's important to have a real fan review them as video games, but also as adaptations of the works we love.

I think this criticism is important to distinguish the cash grab from the genuine thing. Only this way can fans know where to best spend their money. Only this way can we provide developers with feedback on what we like and what we don't like. Only this way can we make Anime Games better!
